Why Unleaded Fishing Matters...

So...you're fishing and your line breaks. You reach into your tackle box and tie on a new hook and sinker. For you, it's just a little lost tackle. One little weight at the bottom of the pond doesn't make a difference, right? WRONG! Your lost lead sinker can kill our belove waterfowl. Lead weights kill loons, swans, geese. They scoop small pebbles - and your lost weight - off the bottoms of ponds to aid their digestion. Your lead weight ends up in their gizzard or stomach where they can become lead poisoned in just two or three weeks. And not just waterfowl are effected. Even raptors such as eagles and hawks can eat fish with swallowed lead or dying waterfowl and they in turn can become poisoned too. Read more....
